What an Adventure ✨️ ๐
Hi, I am doing so well and I'm loving every minute of being in Mongolia! I kinda got too excited writing this so it's long!! But I saw so many miracles everyday! I also did run out of time so sorry for bad grammar/spelling!
Miracles = ๐
Monday-
Feels like forever ago! I took my tag off, and put it in my checked bag which felt weird. Then said bye to my luggage. To end MTC we had a testimony meeting with our district and all our amazing teachers that I love so so much!!
๐ I only had to pay for one over weight bag!
๐ The spirit was so strong in testimony meeting!
๐ I had the best MTC teachers
Tuesday-
We left the MTC around 12, then got on a bus which took us to the train station, then we took the train to salt lake, then took the tracks to the airport! Once we settled in at our gate we got food. Shake Shack never tasted soooo good!!! Then I ran into some friends! Then flew to LAX
๐ Eating Shake Shack
๐ Brother Belcher buying my district snacks and neck pillows! Forever grateful for him!
Wednesday-
Flew around 13 hours from LAX to Soul Korea. I sat next to Sister Fish and Elder Andersen! Such a party!
๐ Sleeping on the plane!
๐ Coloring!
๐ Rubics Cubing
Thursday-
Landed in Korea at 5 am, then my district got some ramen that was spicy! Then I showered in Korea, for 6 dollars! Best but also the most stressful shower I have ever taken because I was cutting it close to boarding time! Anyway, then we flew around 3 hours to MONGOLIA!!! We almost had trouble getting through customs but God answered our prayers! Once we got our luggage, we met Jay (the best person ever). He ordered us Burger King, and so we ate that on our 2 hour bus ride to Ulaanbaatar!
We stopped at the Zaisan hill where we climbed over a hundred stairs to the top where we met President and Sister Kunz! They are seriously the cutest ever and I love them so much! This hill is where the Mongolian Mission was dedicated so President had us read the prayer, such a cool and spiritual experience!
We then made our way to the Mission home and did interviews, then also had to get our blood drawn, to makes sure we don't have any diseases! YAY!
Then we spent the night as a district, we got dinner at a restaurant under the Chengis Kahaan hotel. So yum but so spicy!
๐ Felt so much love for the people here!
๐ Ate Burger King, and orange chicken
๐ Blessed with the best District EVER
Friday-
Woke up and had our last super as district 21-D, the senior couple made us crepes which are my favorite!! Then we met our Trainers!!
My trainer is Sister Fifita!! She is from Salt lake and she got here in february!! God really loves me because she is the best and is so patient with me!
We spent most of the day in the city then got on a train ride around 6 that was 12 hours overnight to Selenge which is the cutest area EVER!!! It is just Sister Fifita and I, and then Elder Hughes and Elder Kunz in this area!
๐ Ate crepes, and a fire quesadilla
๐ Cutest most patient trainer!
Saturday-
We arrived in Selenge at 4:30 am, then walked to our apartment with all my luggage! Ate Koshers so yum! My comp almost got taken by a drunk guy, but our Elders were with us so she didn't! Then we walked around and talked to people!
๐ Made it safly to our apartment!
๐ Met some new friends!
Sunday-
We woke up with NO POWER, and NO WATER!! It made for an adventure! The church was so good! Even though I didn't understand anything I still felt the spirit and I became besties with this cute 10 year old girl who sat next to me! We have around 20 people in our Branch which is awesome, and new people were at church this week! THE LORDS WORK IS HASTENING!! We also had a member meal, and I got to try a lot of new Mongolian food which is awesome!! We had a zoom call with our whole mission, and I fell out of my chair reaching for a pencil so I could write down what the President was saying! SO EMBARASSING!!
๐ Blessed with changed tastebuds
๐ New people at church
๐ Our water turned on at the end of the day!
Monday-
We taught three lessons, I was able to bear my testimony in all of them! I also gave them mini Jesus! We had our first English Class! The people are just awesome! I also tried my first ice cream cone. I'll give it a 5/10!!
๐ Baring my testimony in the lessons
๐ Taught 3 lessons
๐ Got a gerch for the lessons!
๐ Laughing with my comp!!
Everyone either calls me a yellow girl, or thinks I'm Shiny! I guess I'll take that as a compliment!! I love it here so much already!!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!!!
Repentance is a positive principle that brings us joy and peace! I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to repent daily and become more like my Savior everyday!!
Helaman 5:11 And he hath power given unto him from the Father to redeem them from their sins because of repentance; therefore he hath sent his angels to declare the tidings of the conditions of repentance, which bringeth unto the power of the Redeemer, unto the salvation of their souls.
