Grateful for -4°F

Image
Hi, I never thought I'd be grateful for -4°F but it feels warmer compared to last week! Anywayy I am loving Nalaikh, it is seriously so so pretty! I love my comp!! I love the people here!! I love serving God!! I love looking for miracles!! This week was pretty awesome! We handed out lots of English cards, inviting people to come and learn! We said hi to a lot of people, watching Mongolians smile after saying Hi is my favorite thing ever! They don't smile too often! We met this cutie Emee named Bor, she was getting water at the well and I've gotten pretty good at saying танд тусламж хэрэгтэй уу? (Do you need help)! So we helped her fill her water jugs up, then wagoned them back to her house! She then invited us in, she is a sewer and was sewing deels (the traditional clothing). Anyway, she invited us to her house for Tsagan Sar which is their holiday in a couple of weeks!! So we will definitely be checking up on her!! Praying we can teach her about Jesus!! I started...

A Tad Bit Chill 🥶

Yo I haven't frozen to death yet but have gotten pretty close! The past couple days have been ranging from -20 to -40s degrees FAHRENHEIT which honestly isn't too bad without wind! The wind makes it pretty miserable tho! Before beginning my mission I told myself I wouldn't let the cold weather stop me from doing the Lord's work. I have been mentally preparing myself for this weather for a whole year, but I never imagined how cold it actually is! I wouldn't say that its stopping me from doing his work but we have definitely spent more time contacting people inside over the phone. Imagine the feeling of pins and needles in your legs, and the stiffness in your knees in every step you take. Or the pain of your hands going numb, and stiff after 30 seconds! Lol I promise I love my mission but this week has definitely been one I will never forget!! I am living through a Mongolian Winter which is so cool, crazy, wild, mind blowing and seriously just unimaginable to ...

Zaa this email is sponsored by President Kunz #hesthebest He recently asked some of us missionaries… What is something you weren't expecting about being on a mission in Mongolia? So I thought I'd share a couple of things ⬇️ 1. Getting in random cars 🚕 and hoping they take you to your destination 2. My nostrils freezing after being outside for 5 seconds. 🥶 3. Getting talked to in Russian! 🇷🇺 4. How many times my comps end up on the ground due to slipping. 💀 5. Developing a love for hot water/milk 🥛🫖💧 6. The amount of teenagers that laugh at me when I say Hi to them :) 😅🫶 7. The different taste of meat. 8. CUs literally everywhere. 🟣🟢 9. Cows in trash bins 🐄➕️🗑 10. Lots and lots of overnight train rides!🚃🚃🚃🚃 11. So many miracles everyday.🍓✨️🍓 12. The love I feel for these people, and the love they show me! ❤️🥰🫶 Ok anyway this week was FIRE AWESOME MEDEEJ!! 🔥💖😍 Last days in Erdenet… I ate Pizza Hut for the first time on the mish it was buss! Sain baina uu from Erdenet! I know yall have been eagerly waiting to hear about my week, so we'll just get into it! It was so GOOD!! Saying bye to Selenge, Sister Prete and my people there was truly so sad but it's been fun to work in a new area! Erdenet is three times the size of Selenge, and I've just been in complete awe of how much work there is here, so many lost souls to find! Sister Morton has been my comp this week, and will be until Friday!! UGH I love her, she is from Las Vegas, is my personal chef, is so funny and everyone's favorite person! Learning from her has been so so good!! Zaa one little story… I met this emee named Мөөг (Muug) which translates to mushroom in english! And to be honest she gives mushroom vibes! She is just this little old lady with a raspy voice, that loves so big!! She is also LA so we were there trying to help her remember the feeling of the spirit. We went to her house on Saturday, she fed us some busss tsuvian and then we...
