Saihan shinelsen uu? I think I ate over a hundred buuz this week, I lost count after 83! Probably a gallon of hereem, a couple pounds of niislel salad, a whole lot of aruul, might have accidentally taken my first sip of alcohol, and took a couple fake sniffs of some tobacco hahaha! This week was Цагаан Сар (tsagaan sar), which is one of Mongolia's biggest holidays!! It basically is Halloween because everyone dresses up in traditional clothing, Thanksgiving because of the amount of food you eat, and Christmas because of the gifts, plus New Years combined! It was probably one of the most memorable weeks of my mission! I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here and experience this incredible culture! I am genuinely in the coolest place on earth! Every single day this week we pretty much got in our personal study then were at appointments until we had to be home at night! It was so fun!! One of the houses we went to, is a def couple! Since I got here to Nalaikh I have bee...

Thank you letter from Moongolia

Dear Brother and Sister Berry, The reason I am writing is to express my gratitude for the service of your daughter Sister Miriah Berry. Her selfless service, kindness and gospel knowledge are very impressive. Because of her good example many of our youth are getting motivated to do good. We are grateful that you are supporting her in this mission and allowing her to serve in outer Mongolia. She has been living in Nalaikh for a little while now and making a big difference in the lives of many. She is very positive, optimistic in most situations and always finds a solution in everyday challenges. She is respected and loved as a missionary among. Thank you again for sending her to us. Nalaikh Branch President B. Ganbat

This week was something else! I caught myself saying “I can't wait to tell my family about this!” quite a few times so let's get into it… Last Pday we went to the city where we did some shopping, I bought some super cute horse boots, went to this buffet with such good food, then also went bowling then headed back to Nalaikh to work! It was such a fun day! Wednesday we taught one of our English classes about Love languages because of Valentines day, which had us laughing left and right! Then later that night we headed back to the city for an exchange YAY! Our STLs are both Mongolian so I spent the entirety of the exchange speaking broken Mongolian which was so good for me, but very humbling because there's still a lot that I don't know and still so much to learn!! After a very exhausting day in the city we came back and were able to go to dinner with our District! I'm seriously so grateful for them!! We have become family and I know God knew I needed them in ...

I AM MONGOLIA genee

Another week of so many amazing miracles! Kids here like to yell I AM MONGOLIA to us when they see us, and it makes me laugh every time so that is why I titled the email that! We had President interviews which were so good medeej! I think my favorite part was talking to Sister Kunz while we waited for everyone to have their interviews, she's seriously so amazing and I look up to her so much! Anyways, teaching English takes a lot of our time now so finding people has been a little harder! However I am learning how to make bread so that we can take it to people, and give it to people even if they don't have time to meet with us! Tsagaan Sar a Mongolian Holiday is next week so we've had the opportunity to help make bouz this week! So fun! We just sit and talk and make bouz! I just also have to shout out my district, they are literally the best ever! Never a dull moment that's for sure! I am seriously so grateful for them! I know each of us were supposed to be her...

This week went by wayyy too fast, I genuinely dont know how it's already Pday again! Taught almost 10 hours of english, had 4 member meals, 2 church lessons, a baptism, mopped a ceiling, ate some things I probably shouldn't have, cooked, baked, celebrate my comp, cried a little and laughed a lot! I have been going to bed exhausted and waking up exhausted but I genuinely wouldn't have it any other way! I love doing to the Lord's work! Zaa Hunlangoo got baptized on Saturday, I had the privilege of helping teach the last couple of lessons to her! WOW she was so ready!! My favorite thing was right after she was baptized she got out of the water and said “I feel so good” with the biggest smile on her face! I will never forget that! Her mom, Solongoo, came to her baptism which was so special! The spirit spoke to her while she watched her daughter get baptized, and then we were able to teach her a lesson after church on Sunday! The spirit carried this lesson! We starte...
