🥟✨️ Tsagaan Sar ✨️🥟

Saihan shinelsen uu? I think I ate over a hundred buuz this week, I lost count after 83! Probably a gallon of hereem, a couple pounds of niislel salad, a whole lot of aruul, might have accidentally taken my first sip of alcohol, and took a couple fake sniffs of some tobacco hahaha! This week was Цагаан Сар (tsagaan sar), which is one of Mongolia's biggest holidays!! It basically is Halloween because everyone dresses up in traditional clothing, Thanksgiving because of the amount of food you eat, and Christmas because of the gifts, plus New Years combined! It was probably one of the most memorable weeks of my mission! I am so grateful for the opportunity to be here and experience this incredible culture! I am genuinely in the coolest place on earth! Every single day this week we pretty much got in our personal study then were at appointments until we had to be home at night! It was so fun!! One of the houses we went to, is a def couple! Since I got here to Nalaikh I have been learning a little bit of Mongolian Sign language, and so it was such a cool experience to see and kind of understand what they were signing! Zaa then we had transfers! It was incredibly sad to say bye to Sister Malohi, to know her, is to love her! She is an amazing person and has the best laugh! I got my trainee (still shocked that I am training) on Saturday YAY! Her name is Sister Kalamafoni! She's so cutie! She is from Texas, and is Tongan!! The mission likes to joke I'm collecting all the browns because I've been comps with all but one now! I'm taking this as a sign I will be marrying one too! 😁 Since Saturday (so three days) I have been incredibly humbled, and have realised I can not do this without Jesus by my side! My language has lots of improvement lol, and even though there have been many times where I have no idea what people are saying I am grateful for this opportunity God is giving me to grow, and be stretched wayyyyyy outside of my comfort zone! As always I saw lots of MIRACLES… 🍓 The pretty view from the heed last P-day 🍓 linking arms so we didn't slip (after I ate the ground) 🍓 Going to Naraa egchees for Biltuun, and holding her puppies! 🍓 fitting in the taxi #onlyinmongolia 🍓 going to Dambas and laughing with him! 🍓 green salad at Khongorzols house! 🍓 Tsuvian instead of buuz at Odonchimegs! 🍓 making layes with Malohi 🍓 keeping the food I ate in my stomach yay! 🍓 experiencing traditional hair cutting ceremony of Hulangoos little sister! 🍓 Priesthood blessing! 🍓 Making it to the BZ (mission home) on time after our taxi didn't show up so we had to take the bus! 🍓 Seeing all my friends at transfers! 🍓 Going to Delgertsetseg and Ganbats our def members, and kinda understanding MSL! 🍓 Laughing while walking in the snow that was up to our knees! 🍓 Bagii our taxi driver, who we accidentally led on to a one way road going the wrong way getting us safely to where we needed to be! 🍓 surviving as senior comp for 3 days! Aye God is real! 🍓 the JOY I felt in Sacrament meeting!! 🍓 hearing the testimonies of missionaries going home! 🍓 Naranbayar and Nandia getting on our bus! 🍓 Kalamafoni being patient and positive! ✨️ Spiritual Thought ✨️ “The Lord proves us in much the same way to strengthen us.
