Follow Jesus's Example

This week was something else! I caught myself saying “I can't wait to tell my family about this!” quite a few times so let's get into it… Last Pday we went to the city where we did some shopping, I bought some super cute horse boots, went to this buffet with such good food, then also went bowling then headed back to Nalaikh to work! It was such a fun day! Wednesday we taught one of our English classes about Love languages because of Valentines day, which had us laughing left and right! Then later that night we headed back to the city for an exchange YAY! Our STLs are both Mongolian so I spent the entirety of the exchange speaking broken Mongolian which was so good for me, but very humbling because there's still a lot that I don't know and still so much to learn!! After a very exhausting day in the city we came back and were able to go to dinner with our District! I'm seriously so grateful for them!! We have become family and I know God knew I needed them in my life! I have learned so much from each of them! Friday was a normal day of work, we had a member meal with Odonchimegs family. They are the best!! Then we also had a little Valentine's chocolate exchange with our youth and played games with them! Saturday we had district council, the spirit was so strong! Elder Baker and Cannon made apple pie, bruh it was so yum! Then we went back to the city with some people from our Branch to a church Tsagaan Sar celebration! However, we sat in traffic for almost 3 hours and barely moved so we got out and walked almost 4 miles in 5°F with no coats!! We got there and were able to watch traditional dancing, wrestling, and talk to members from other areas! I genuinely feel so blessed to experience the Mongolian culture! Now that wasn't all… we got back to Nalaikh just in time for Gertee, however my comp and I stopped at a store to get eggs and realized our keys were locked in the church!!! Guys I about died!!! No coat, no keys, and the church is a 30 minute walk from our apartment! God blessed us big with the sweetest store lady named Bayraa, she called us a taxi, and then asked him to drive us to shiin Nalaikh so we could get church keys from our Elders, then to the church, and then back to our apartment!! So grateful for her and our taxi, for helping us get home safely!! Zaa to end a crazy week we got ‼️TRANSFER NEWS‼️ I will be picking up a new missionary fresh from America on Saturday, and training her! 👩‍🍼 To be completely honest… I feel very inadequate, scared, anxious, incapable and so many other things. However God has a plan and I know it is far greater than the one I have for myself! (They are from my first area) 🍓 Reading my Patriarchal blessing 🙌 🍓 Laughing and dancing with Malohi, Im gonna miss her so much 🍓 A lady in the store giving me a Strawberry! 🍓 Chinbaat and Bolormaa giving us a free taxi!! ✨️Spiritual Thought ✨️ This past week President Dallin H. Oaks gave an amazing Devotional at BYU! One of the main themes was to.. look to the needs of others, aka follow Jesus's example!! He encouraged us to pray for each other, because we all need extra prayers! He encouraged us to serve others, and uplift others!! This is the gospel of Jesus Christ! To LOVE others as he has LOVED you!! I can't wait for the day I get to hug Jesus again!! I know its going to be amazing, but while I wait.. I will try my best every day to become like him, and to love the people around me!! Jesus loves you! I love you!
