No Need for a Name Tag
Oh Heyyyy
I got to experience my first Mongolian snowfall yesterday, and for some reason was so happy! Usually I'm not a fan of the snow but it was so pretty and made for a new adventure!!
We got invited over to Enkhsurens house (a member) for lunch on Wednesday! She made us Budaatei hurag which is yummy potato chicken stuff! Then we went and chopped wood and stacked it for her!! I love her so much and her testimony is so strong!!
Had a couple lessons with Sarangua. Her baptism is so soon! She is so ready! I love her so much!!
Made cookies and took them to members, and did a lot of address checking this week! Then we also did lots and lots of ITLs (invite, teach, and love) where we go out and try to talk to everyone we walk by if they allow us too!
Speaking of cookies, we also made homemade pizza, crepes, brownies, and my current go to drink is hot water with a spoon full of honey! It gets me through my studies!
My comp and I also watched General Conference and it was seriously SO GOOD! I love learning from the apostles of the Lord, and know that each of them are called by God to testify of him! We are so lucky to learn from them every 6 months!!
All of the talks were so good, if you didn't watch it, I invite you to go do it now! But one talk that really stood out to me was by Elder Evanson! He really emphasized service missionaries, and the important role that they play! More so he emphasized the need for YOU to serve those around you!!
He said something on the lines of… “you do not need a name tag to be a missionary”. I felt like God was speaking right to me!!
A couple of times while we were walking around I caught myself thinking about if I was wearing a name tag what a difference it would make! People would see who I really was, a representative for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! However, it's not about the name tag!!
You do not need a name tag to serve, love, and help those around you! It is as easy as just complimenting someone waiting in line to check out at the grocery store, for YOU to show God's love to them!! YOUR little acts of service are needed!!
Mosiah 2: 17 And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.
