Another American?

What's up! Another awesome busy week here in Selenge!! Here's some highlights! Met a guy named Travis from Arizona, he's lived here in Selenge for 15 years and owns a coffee shop! We wandered into his shop, and he just started speaking English to us. I was shocked, and it made me so happy because I was able to ask him so many questions, while we ate his wife's delicious carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, and worked on a puzzle! I will for sure be going back! We went to Darkhan again for an English training YAY! Our teachers from the ELC at BYU came all the way over here to give us new and improved ideas for teaching! Which also meant I got to see some of my mission friends! The 2 hour drive their felt like a roller coaster because our taxi was driving at 100+ mph pretty much the whole time, and was constantly swerving to not hit pot holes or other cars! We made it home safe and sound though don't worry! Had a Halloween party YAY!!! Halloween isn't really a thing here, but some kinds dress up and attempt to go trick or treating. We had a couple of kids knock on our door and we didn't have a whole lot of candy so we dropped mini Jesus in their bags! To be honest I don't know if that's allowed but planting seeds I guess! Our ward Halloween party was super fun, and we had a ton of people (kids, dropped off by their parents) show up so it was fun! We played minute to win it games which they loved! BIG WOMP- For the Halloween party I made donuts so we could play the donut tied to the string game! In my attempt to make glaze donuts, I bought what I thought was powdered sugar but quickly learned that I bought corn starch and made a big mess of ooblek! Luckily we had cinnamon and sugar on hand and they turned out pretty good! I was so sad that it wasn't powdered sugar though! BIG MIRACLE- We finally met Byambasuren, she is a less active member that we've been knocking on her door for a while! Last week we heart attacked her door, and so this week we just wanted to try again. She lives in an old school in a single room, so before entering the building I told Sister Fifita we needed to pray outside which we usually pray right in front of the door inside! We prayed then walked in, and her door was wide open! So she had to let us in! YAY! She is a super sweet lady, and just has a lot going on in life which makes it hard to get to church! We were able to share a message of love and hope, pray with her, and be on our way! I am so grateful that God guided us to be in the right place at the right time for us to meet this sweet lady! Yesterday we got to go do service at Tsogterels, one of our members! For service the Elders chopped wood, and she had us cut peppers so she could freeze them! While cutting peppers God blessed me with confidence to ask her questions, which was so fun! Unfortunately we weren't able to talk about the gospel in her home because her husband was there and does not like the church, even though he was in a different room watching TV she was afraid of what he would do! When we were finished she fed us yummy food, and I was able to give her a mini Jesus and tell her I loved her! Even though her circumstances aren't the best, her testimony and love for Jesus Christ shine through her, I am so grateful we were able to help her! ✨️ MIRACLES ✨️ 🍓 The snow made it look like christmas!🎄 🍓 My English Students 🍓 Travis, and his carrot cake 🍓 Byambasuren 🫶🙏 🍓 A less active member came and talked to us at the store 🍓 spreading seeds with mini Jesus 😇 🍓 Got my package 🙌 🍓 Made it home safe 🍓 English Training 🍓 Our friend at the craft store was excited to see us! 🥰 🍓 Duurenbayer brought her two kids to church 🩷😁 🍓 Karaoke with the Young Women after the Halloween Party. 🎃🎤 🍓 Serving Tsogtgerel! SPIRITUAL THOUGHT! One of my favorite scriptures this week because our God is a God of miracles, it just depends on us to see them! Moroni 7:27 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, have miracles ceased because Christ hath ascended into heaven, and hath sat down on the right hand of God, to claim of the Father his rights of mercy which he hath upon the children of men? 28 For he hath answered the ends of the law, and he claimeth all those who have faith in him; and they who have faith in him will cleave unto every good thing; wherefore he advocateth the cause of the children of men; and he dwelleth eternally in the heavens.
