Footprints!

Sain baitsgaan uu manaihan?! The sun is shining and this week was awesome!! To start the week off strong we got to help Ukraine Nara in her garden YAY!! Took me back to gardening with my sweet grandma! It was actually way fun, we just tilled the ground! Yesterday we got to go back and fill up barrels with water from the well and WOW how grateful I am to have running water in my home, and for hoses! Anyways we also planted potatoes! Then I got to go on an exchange with my ohin (daughter) Sister Kalamafoni! I got the privilege of training her for one transfer and then sadly had to leave her! She quite literally is one of the most Christ-like people I know and is willing to give everything she has to these people! It just felt right for us to be back together for a day! ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ“ Besides that we had lots of Zooms this week, and one day it poured down on us! So we got to dance in the rain! We also got to help our friend Amkaa (he is mute but communicates through writing and has to use crutches to walk)! Due to the rain it made it dangerous for him to use his crutches so we walked with him, but then two men saw us and gave him a piggyback ride to the bus which was such a miracle, because walking long distances makes his legs tired! Anyway this just made me think of the poem “Footprints” ⬇️ ✨️ SPIRITUAL THOUGHT ✨️ “Footprints” One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it. “LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.” The LORD replied, “My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.” -Author Unknown I know the Lord carries us during our time of trial and suffering because he has carried me through the hardest parts of my life, and I know he has felt the pain and grief we feel! I know he is with us! I know he loves us! ✨️ MIRACLES ✨️ ๐Ÿ“ bought skippy peanut butter at a import store ๐Ÿ“ feeling the spirit on our Zooms! ๐Ÿ“ comforting words from our leaders! ๐Ÿ“ fasting ๐Ÿ“ gardening at Ukraine Nara Egchs ๐Ÿ“ Just having so much joy walking from address to address ๐Ÿ“ singing America the Beautiful ๐Ÿ“ seeing Nandia and Jasmine my friends from Nalaikh ๐Ÿ“ Spending the day with Kalamafoni ๐Ÿ“ nothing bad happened when we didnt have a sim card ๐Ÿ“ got motivation and energy ๐Ÿ“ call ins with our sisters ๐Ÿ“ getting into Achlalts home and sharing a scripture with her! ๐Ÿ“Sukhbaatar Ah making us laugh ๐Ÿ“ rain ๐Ÿ“ seeing the amount of people willing to help Amkaa ๐Ÿ“ singing songs in the dark #nopowerorwater ๐Ÿ“ PB&Js for dinner ๐Ÿ“ pretty sky ๐Ÿ“ really good personal studies this week! ๐Ÿ“ dancing in the park and making people smile! ๐Ÿ“ SUNSHINE, and tan lines ๐Ÿ“ Laughing with Herrin ๐Ÿ“ made lots of new friends doing service for Ukraine Nara Egch ๐Ÿ“ A really good lesson with a potential investigator, after we thought she wasn't coming!
